Friends of Placer High School of Auburn, CA is a non profit organization whose primary objective is to promote student welfare in the home, school, and community through the cooperative effort of parents, students, teachers and members of the community. We do this by supporting programs that strengthen communication, provide volunteer support, and through financial assistance that enhances, enriches and supplements district approved activities.

Our meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month.  Everyone is welcome to attend!

Message from our President….

It is that time of year to say good-bye to parents that have meant a lot to the Friends of Placer High School parent organization.  Julie Lardner has been the board secretary for many years and has been a big part of this parent organization helping with many activities at the school.    We wish her well as she starts a new chapter in her life. We will miss her!

If you want to be a part of a great group of parents we have some openings for next year’s board or just come to the meetings and hear what we are all about.  Next year the following positions are open on the board:

  • SCRIP Coordinator
  • Grad Night Committee
  • Vice President

As we wrap up the year, we start to look forward to the next year and setting our fundraising goals to support the teacher wish lists, sports, art, welding and much more.  We have already started the planning for our next fundraiser  “Casino Night on the Hill”  that is scheduled for November 16th at The Power Club.  So mark it on your calendar and look for more information to be sent via email, posted on our website and/or in the newsletter beginning in August.

Thank you again to all the parents who supported Friends of Placer High School this year and we look forward to seeing you next year.

Sincerely,

Kim Lightfoot
